Congestion between SP15 and NP15 continues to plague CAISO this month with SP15 heavy load prices regularly settling in the single digits. This means SP15 batteries are charging when real-time prices are as low as -$50/MWh. NP15 batteries, on the other hand, are seeing much less of a spread between midday charging prices and evening discharge prices.
